Well, maybe......but it seems to be a blanket statement to discredit all who are disagreeing with you. A catch all argument ad hominem so to say.
That's the way I took it anyway?
If it was meant to be a blanket statement, it wouldn't have said anything about quoting scripture...I don't care who agrees or disagrees with me...but if my posts are going to be referred to, I want them used in the context that I wrote them in.
Fair enough. I only saw one person quoting scripture? Could be wrong about that but that's all I remember, that's why the plural
"you guy's" caught my attention.
Naw...there was more than 1...it always seems to be the response when you ask someone for proof of creation after they have asked you for proof of evolution...and if proof is based on faith then there is no proof.
Went back to the point at which I became involved in this thread. I still see only one person quoting scripture, there is another supporting a scripture based argument. No big deal anyway.
Let me say that I come from a whole different angle on this. I was nearly never taken to church as a child. Until my mid to late 20's I was a rather rabid agnostic. I came to my current beliefs not because of preaching, teaching, or Bible reading. I came to them by studying both sides of the debate equally, not taking what I was taught in school with a blind faith and doing much research. This includes reading tons of material on the subject, I also have a friend who was once a research scientist and an agnostic who has come to the same conclusions that I have.
It is not a non-intellectual point of view as many would portray it. In fact the gaps, problems, missing evidence, and yes the outright lies from the evolutionist side of the argument tends to lead me to wonder how they have convinced so many with so little evidence and a ton a negative baggage to go with their argument.

And if your "proof" is based on the unproven scientific theory, yes theory, of evolution that has never been duplicated in a lab, seen in action in nature, nor proven in the fossil evidence, then it takes plenty of faith (faith is believing in that which is not seen)to hold to such a preposterous notion that can create an entire herd of dinosaur or race of man from a single bone or tooth.
You keep speaking of the "proof" of evolution and you nor anyone else have never given any concrete proof whatsoever that this complex universe in which we live came about by evolution by pure chance or any other means. What, my friend, is your explanation for the origions of life? Not just simply evolution, but in what manner did it happen?
And as far as quoting scripture, I make no apology for that since in my belief and experience I believe in the God of the Bible who sent His Son to shed His blood for sinful man. And it makes as much sense to me to quote the Bible (since I believe that is the ultimate Authority) as it apparently does to you to quote some scientist who holds to a theory that is supposed to be an ongoing process over the past countless eons yet fossil evidence proves his error through the cambrian explosion and the puzzling (to the evolutionist) lack of fossil evidence prior to that. Though I am sure they can just simply "dig" some fossils and lo and behold by some miraculous chance it will just happen to pre-date the cambrian period! I guess that is pretty handy when you or your cohorts are the ones doing the dating!
In closing a couple of quotes:
"There is another and allied difficulty, which is much more serious. I allude to the manner in which species belonging to several of the main divisions of the animal kingdom suddenly appear in the lowest known fossiliferous rocks."? (Darwin, The Origin of Species, p. 348),
"One of the major unsolved problems of geology and evolution is the occurrence of diversified, multicellular marine invertebrates in Lower Cambrian rocks on all the continents and their absence in rocks of greater age."? (I. Axelrod, "Early Cambrian Marine Fauna,"? Science, Vol. 128, 4 July 1958, p. 7),
And the mystery continues........
"but any of you are yet to prove that we are created by a single all knowing god..."
The whole argument has been that we are created by God vs evolution. Asking for proof that we were created by Him is the same as asking for proof that He exists. He claimed to be the Creator. I just happen to agree with what He said, so that must mean I believe that He exists. By doubting His statement of Creation, I doubt His existence.

I believe this is the "Religion" forum. If you don't want to see scripture quoted, then you're definitely wasting your time here.

Good point. I'm accustomed to debating hardcore atheists on a non-religious forum. There facts are the only way to go, no scripture. Here is a different situation. I do believe that on this particular subject it's better to stick with the issue though. Posting scripture can give the impression of a lack of valid argument.
